Joyce Njuguna, PMHNP-BC

Joyce Njuguna is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping people navigate mental health challenges with compassion and expertise. With over 15 years in psychiatric nursing and more than five years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she brings extensive experience and genuine care to every visit.

NP Njuguna earned her nursing degree from the University of Central Missouri in 2009 and her master’s from Maryville University of St. Louis in 2019. Since 2010, she has worked across diverse settings, from crisis centers to outpatient clinics in Johnson County, giving her deep experience helping patients in both urgent situations and ongoing care.

Her clinical experience includes treating depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, substance use disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. NP Njuguna is skilled in comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, crisis intervention, and developing personalized treatment plans.

Board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), she maintains the highest standards of psychiatric care and stays current with the latest evidence-based practices.
